We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Pump. The accommodation is very well appointed and extremely comfortable, we could not have asked the more. Its location is ideally placed for the Coastal Path and visiting local attractions.

The cottage was in a lovely area, with a nice pretty garden, even in Febuary. It was every thing we hoped for & more. Very well equiped with every you would need.lots of brochers & info about the property & surrounding areas, places to eat & places of interest. Loved iur stay very much, & hopefully will be returning but in the warmer months.

Highly recommend for those wanting a good base for adventuring, the coastal path is right at your doorstep, the nearest towns have restaurants and shops. The property is cosy, warm and the owner goes above and beyond to accommodate. We were greeted with tea, coffee, sugar, a box full of fresh vegetables, a small milk, orange juice and a wood supply for the log burner. Kitchen/cooking facilities were spot on, 2 bathrooms with towels provided, 3 small but comfy bedrooms with bed linen. Thank you x

From the location close to the rugged coast and the historic nature of the building, to the basket of fresh vegetables and the milk and juice ready in the fridge, this was a special place to spend our holiday. The host had taken care to provide all we would need. Two of the party needed to 'work from home' during the trip, and the upstairs lounge and downstairs dining area provided the separate space they needed - we found the internet connection was fine too. We were delighted with our stay.

Enjoyed our stay at this comfortable, well equipped cottage, cosy and spacious. Appreciated the welcome pack, milk, tea, coffee, Welsh cakes, veg etc. Very thoughtful owners lived nearby. The location was ideal for walking the coat path or catching a bus to St David S or Solva if you were less energetic.

A beautiful well appointed and spotlessly clean cottage. Equipped with everything you could need, almost like home from home. Lovely welcome fruit basket, tea/coffee supplies and fresh vegetables from the farm. Good walks to the coast and a short drive to pubs/restaurants in St Davids and Solva. I would highly recommend.

What a great place with full of history. Really nice configuration and you can see they made the most of the space. Kitchen dis ownstairs and living room upstairs- my personal preference is to have them in the same level. Bedrooms on the small side, but we only used them for sleeping and spent most days exploring. Kitchen very functional with all you need. Lovely touch from the owner to leave a large basket of vegetables, tea/coffee, milk, juice. Close to a shingles beach 5-10 mins walk.

Holiday houses and apartments in:

Wales, a beautiful country to the west of England which, along with Scotland, England and Northern Ireland, make up the United Kingdom. Wales is known for its gorgeous, rugged coastline, mountainous national parks and its historic Celtic culture. Jaw dropping scenery awaits you with opportunities to stare out over the rolling ocean from the winding coastal paths. Take a peek at the coastal towns and villages that encompass a wealth of culture as well as giving a warm welcome to visitors.

If the coast is not for you, take a trip inland and you will soon reach the valleys, hills and mountainous regions that cover the rest of this wonderful country. There is a huge range of self-catering accommodation to choose from in Wales.  From cosy cottages to luxury coastal apartments or even a city break to the capital city.

Areas to visit in Wales

Take a well-earned trip to this intriguing country and visit the nation’s capital, Cardiff.  A fascinating coastal city, with a rustic medieval castle rich with Welsh history. Cardiff castle is located in the heart of Wales’s capital city. Go and take a look at the breathtaking art displayed in the National museum of Cardiff. Of if you prefer the outdoors, take a walk over to Cardiff Bay Barrage, which is located in a sensational maritime setting with astonishing views of the Severn estuary.

Pembrokeshire is a quiet county in the west of Wales and was rated by the National Geographic as having the second best coastline in the world. With its 186 miles of magnificent and rugged coastline, along with over 50 beaches for you and the family to enjoy.  You could choose between the bustling town of Tenby and Saundersfoot or the tranquility of St Davids or Newport.

Why not travel to the picturesque Snowdonia national park, situated to the north west.  Comprising of 823 square miles of diverse landscapes, it is the largest national park in Wales. Snowdonia boasts the highest mountain in England and Wales, as well as the largest lake in Wales. So if you are looking for an impressive, picturesque holiday, Snowdonia national park is the place to be.

Activities in Wales

North Wales is home to the largest zip line in the UK. This exciting experience is perfect for all thrill seekers out there and, if this isn’t quite breathtaking enough for you, there are many other activities. These include parachuting from as high as 12,000 ft whilst also experiencing the beautiful Gower Peninsula in all its glory from above.

Or if you would prefer a more aquatic approach to a holiday, coasteering has become increasingly popular in many coastal parts of the UK. Coasteering is a blend of rock-hopping, swell-riding, cave exploring and cliff-jumping. It’s the ultimate sea adventure!

Paddle boarding and kayaking are also great fun for all the family. The rugged Welsh coastlines could have been made specifically for the perfect paddling experience.

If you are looking for a calm and peaceful holiday in Wales, why not grab your wellies and take a walk through the colour and beauty of the Brecon Beacons national park?  Or take a serene walk along one of the many magnificent coastlines that Wales has to offer.  Or appreciate the stunning sunset from the top of Snowdon!
