You can also reach Nendaz from Geneva. Nendaz only lies about 166 kilometres from Geneva, and you can either rent a car or a train to Sion. When you reach Sion, you pick up the bus which runs every hour during the winter season. Once in Nendaz, you should be able to walk to your ski chalet or apartment. If you are driving in Switzerland, you need to buy a road tax vignette which is available at garages or service stations.
The access to the ski slopes in Nendaz is excellent, but it might be a good idea to get to know the lift system as it is easy to get carried away when skiing in Nendaz. Some of the slopes lead to Siviers, but that being said, the slopes to Siviers are wonderful and you can always catch the ski bus back to Nendaz.
The ski season in Nendaz starts in December and normally lasts to the end of April. The resort publishes regular snow reports, and it is a good idea to check out which slopes are open before you set out in the morning. As far as services on the mountain, you will find that you have a choice of family rest stops and more upmarket restaurants. After all, you will get hungry as Nendaz can offer you 400 kilometres of runs.
