Nearby Anzio can also be reached on foot and is only 60 km from the center of Rome, which can also be reached by high-frequency train from nearby train station. Florence and Naples can be reached from Rome in just an hour and a half. Just 4 km away you can board a ferry or fast ship (just over an hour) for Ponza from which you can then visit the other nearby Pontine islands. The local tourist port is only 10 minutes away on foot, a little further on the coast there is the 15th century castle, commissioned by the family of Pope Borgia and built by the arch. A.
