It is located 60 kilometers from the international airport of Malaga and about 80 to the east of Gibraltar, both by dual highway and motorway. The city is a coastal center of numerous modern urbanizations, full of gardens with places of recreation for all kinds of playful and recreational activities, which contrasts with the charm of its central streets, with a medieval layout and popular Andalusian architecture. From being an agricultural and fishing town, Marbella gradually became a world benchmark for quality tourism. In just a few years, more than thirty golf courses have been built throughout its municipal area and it has the honor of having been the city where the popular sport of paddle tennis was born and made known to the world.
