1-room apartment 30 m2, on the ground floor. Simple and practical furnishings: living/sleeping room with 1 double bed (2 x 90 cm, length 200 cm), dining table, cable TV and radio. Exit to the balcony. Kitchen (3 hot plates, toaster, kettle, freezer, electric coffee machine, fondue Set (cheese)). Bath/WC. Balcony 8 m2, east facing position. Balcony furniture. View of the mountains. Facilities: hair dryer. Internet (WiFi, free). Please note: non-smokers only. Maximum 1 pet/ dog allowed.

House/Residence

Large, simple apartment house "Sonnheim", 5 storeys. In the district of Zen Stecken 900 m from the centre of Zermatt, in a quiet, sunny position. In the house: lift, storage room for skis, central heating system. Supermarket 700 m, restaurant 30 m, bakery 500 m, 10 minute walk to the centre, bus stop "Matterhorn Glacier Paradise" 200 m, railway station "Bahnhof Zermatt" 900 m. Mountain railway 300 m, ski rental 300 m, ski bus stop 200 m, ski school, children's ski school 600 m. Cabs cannot stop right in front of the house. The keys‘ handover takes place by the agency Interhome in Zermatt.

Well-known, famous, car-free winter sports resort with 5'478 inhabitants, situated at the foot of the Mount Cervin with beautiful view, 34 km south from Visp. In the resort: supermarket, grocery, butchery, bakery, boutiques, post office, bank, bar, disco, museum, cinema. Glacier, hiking, electrocab available in town, indoor aquatic centre, fitness centre, massage. Besides: pharmacy, doctor. Lakes nearby.

Summer

Bathing lake. Tennis (1 outdoor court, 1 indoor court), golf course 9 hole in Täsch 6 km. Minigolf. Fitness course. Summer skiing. Paragliding, beach volleybally court. Mountain lifts, 400 km hiking paths, mountain hikes, mountain tours, climbing. 80 km mountain bike routes, bicycles and mountain bikes for hire. Children's playground, leisure park. In May and June, lorries are allowed in Zermatt because of building season. In these months, it is slightly noisier than during the rest of the year, when Zermatt is car-free.

Winter

Ski-region Matterhorn Ski Paradise, total of 57 lifts. 2 mountain lifts, 8 cableways, 11 cable cabins, 22 chair lifts, 14 drag lifts, 2 children's ski lifts. 70 ski runs, total length 350 km (21 % easy, 62 % intermediate, 18 % difficult), snowboard slope, snow park, halfpipe. Ski school (downhill, cross country), snowboard school, children's ski school from 6 years old, ski kindergarten from 4 years old. 17 km cross country ski tracks in the region, winter walking paths 45 km. 1 toboggan run. Natural ice rink, artificial ice rink, curling, indoor tennis centre. Ski bus (free of charge). Further ski-regions: Cervinia.

Appartement Sonnheim à Zermatt: -Le store de la porte du Balcon est bloqué en haut et le dérouleur ne marche pas, comme déjà lors de notre précédent séjour en 2023. -Les roulettes des radiateurs ne marchent pas bien , la roulette du radiateur devant le balcon tombe, elle est déscellée, comme déjà lors de notre séjour en 2023. - le tablard en bas à gauche de l'évier à la cuisine tombe: un taquet du tablard manque et il est impossible d'y poser une casserole.

Insgesamt zufriedenstellend. Wir schlagen vor, die Bettwäsche, Kopfkissen und Handtücher zu erneuern für den Comfort der Gäste. Im Badezimmer Waschbecken muss man den Deckel vom Abfluss entfernen, damit dass Wasser abfließt. Sonst alles sehr gut.

Die Unterkunft ist mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet ausser einem benutzbaren Schrank. Leider hat es nur zwei Nachttischli mit kleinen Schubladen in denen wenig mitgebrachte Kleidung versorgt werden kann. Dafür ist das Studio sehr gut gelegen nur 5 Minuten von der Bahn entfernt was wir sehr schätzen.

We had everything we needed in this apartment, the kitchen was well equipped, the bathroom was clean, the position is great as it is 150 m from the ski lifts and it has free wifi. I fully recommend this for a couple who wants intimacy and to cook at home, plus to be close to the ski lifts. Very good choice and the price let's hope stays at the same level.

Die Heizung liess sich nicht regulieren, dadurch nachts sehr warm und trocken. Die Ausstattung (Küche) war sparsam und lieblos. Es gab keinen Schrank um etwas aufzuhängen. Dicht am Skilift Matterhorn. WLAN war gut.

I chose this place as it was close to the lift. The room is spacious, had all of the facilities I needed (kitchen, utensils etc). Room was provided clean, easy to access and really enjoyed my stay here. It's not the most modern apartment but for a stay where the focus is skiing, it doesn't really matter. The main point is that it was clean and provided me a good place to relax. Would visit again if its available next time I come to Zermatt! Thanks again!

Gute Küchenausstattung. Messer, Töpfe, Toaster, Kaffeemaschine, kleiner Ofen. Alles da was man für einfache Gerichte benötigt. Sogar Spülmittel, Salz, Pfeffer und Geschirrtücher waren da. Gute Handtücher. Bequeme Betten. Schön warm. Gutes WLAN. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen!
