218 m a.s.l. >>Well-known, idyllic resort directly by the Lago Maggiore, 12 km from Locarno, 4 km from italienischer Grenze, 9 km from Ascona. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Opposite Brissago there are 2 islands, one of which has been transformed into botanical gardens. Very moderate, pleasent climate.

Leider war die vorbeiführende Haupt-Strasse sehr laut in der Wohnung zu hören. Ab 05 Uhr bis 21 Uhr war der Verkehr der Grenzgänger enorm hoch, sehr laut. Wir sind nach 4 Tagen (anstelle 7 Tagen) abgereist.

Strassenverkehr ist fast nicht auszuhalten vor allem nachts. Für uns leider keine Option mehr. Keine Angaben wo die Kehhricht Deponie ist.
