Location Description Maloja

1'817 - 2'200 m a.s.l. >>`The 310-inhabitant village Maloja is situated between the Upper Engadine lakeland region and the Bergell Valley at 1817m altitude. Maloja is known for its inspiring and relaxing nature and its proximity to St. Moritz. The earliest finds indicate that the area around Maloja was already populated around 2000 years BC. Testimonies are mainly the Druid stone of Maloja, coin finds, tomb graves and ornament stones. Due to its location on the pass road, Maloja has held an important function in Roman times. During the Napoleonic wars it was occupied by French and Austrian troops. Approximately 100 years later, in 1880, the Belgian count Camille de Renesse discovered the breathtaking landscape and transformed Maloja into a glamorous meeting place for the international aristocracy by building the Kursaal Maloja (now Maloja Palace). Maloja also has a lot to offer to art lovers: the studio Segantini (the former studio of the famous Italian painter Giovanni Segantini) and the so-called "Sentiero Segantini", a walk connecting important stages of Segantini's work in Maloja and documenting them with charts, are all definitely worth seeing. The magnificent "Belvedere" castle, a remnant of the residence of the count, offers an excellent view over the Bergelltal and can be reached from the center by foot in 20 minutes. In the summer exhibitions are often held here. Snowshoe adventure tours, moonlight skiing, torch-sledging, full moon hikes, etc. Postbus connection to all ski resorts in the Engadine available. Maloja is the starting point of the Engadine Ski Marathon. Maloja is the only place in Südbünden to have the "Families Welcome" seal of approval from the Swiss Tourism Association. This shows the family-friendly attitude and infrastructure of the resort. Small village, summer holiday resort and winter sports resort, in an idyllic position, 17 km from St.Moritz. All shops, restaurants etc. in St.Moritz, 17 - 18 km. In the resort: shops, restaurant. More possibilities for shopping 7 - 8 km. Paragliding. 2 mountain lifts, 15 km, 5 cableways, 8 km, 1 gondola lift, hiking paths, mountain hikes, mountain tours, climbing. Children's playground, leisure park "Percorso Avventura". Europe's highest located boat line on Silser lake. Various summer activities including hiking, camping, climbing, handicraft work sessions and kids' discotheque for families with children.

Winter

Information concerning the Skipass you can find on Snowdeal Engadin, the price is subject to demand, who books early profits from interesting discounts. Ski-region Maloja Aela, 2 lifts in the resort, 58 lifts in the ski region. 1 drag lift, 1 children's ski lift. Ski school, snowboard school, children's ski school. 230 km cross country ski tracks in the region, ski walking paths, winter walking paths. 1 toboggan run. Natural ice rink, curling. Corvatsch - Furtschellas at 8 km, Corviglia at 16 km, Diavolezza at 35 km.

Our third stay at this apartment which we enjoy as it meets all our requirements. Very comfortable, quiet and well equipped with sunshine on the balcony in the afternoon. It is a very warm apartment. It is a good base from which to explore the cross country skiing and winter hiking in the upper Engadine valley as well as the other towns and villages.

Die Wohnung ist mit allem Notwendigen ausgestattet. Die Zimmer gehen gegen den Wald, Balkon mit schöner Aussicht gegen die Berge und zum Wald. Es ist sehr ruhig. Von der Unterkunft aus kann man die ganze Ferienregion mit ÖV, dem Fahrrad, zu Fuss oder mit dem Auto erkunden. Kleiner Laden mit vielen Produkten in der Nähe, der Silsersee ist in 10 Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen.

Insgesamt eine sehr schöne Wohnung an ruhiger Lage. Allerdings gibt es kleinere Mängel bei der Ausstattung der Küche. Beispielsweise müssten die Bratpfannen ersetzt werden, auch die Vorrichtung des Abfalleimers ist defekt. Die Wohnung verfügt über eine elektrische Bodenheizung. Bei Ankunft betrug die Raumtemperatur 25 Grad! Geholfen hat nur regelmässiges lüften, da nicht regulierbar - ressourcenmässig eine Katastrophe.

Gute Wohnung, ohne Glanzpunkte. Positiv -gute Organisation der Schlüsselübergabe (alles lag im Briefkasten) -alles ist funktionstüchtig. Eher negativ: -keine Handseife in den Badezimmern. -es wäre schön gewesen, wenn das eine oder andere Gewürz, Zucker oder Öl vorhanden wären. -Korridor ist eher dunkel. Wir haben nichts für die Kurtaxen als Gegenleistung erhalten. In anderen Regionen in Graubünden bekamen wir jeweils eine Spezialkarte mit gratis ÖV, Bergbahn etc.

Die Ferienwohnung ist komfortabel gut ausgestattet, man findet wirklich alles was es braucht. Direkt neben der Busstation und wenige Schritte von Wanderwegen und Langlaufpisten. Besser gehts nicht mehr. Gerne wieder.

Sehr schöne, geräumige, saubere und tiptop eingerichtete Wohnung mit allem, was man braucht. Wir waren im Winter mit Kind und Hund da und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die ruhige und sonnige Lage nach hinten von der Strasse weg Richtung Süden ist sehr angenehm, mit schönem Ausblick auf die Berge. Wir kommen wieder!

Die Ferienwohnung im Haus La Planüra in Maloja ist gut und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Da sie unmittelbar neben einer Bushaltestelle liegt, ist sie gerade auch für Urlauber empfehlenswert, die mit dem öffentlichen Verkehr anreisen. Die Betreuung durch das Interhome-Team in St. Moritz ist ebenfalls freundlich und hilfsbereit.

het appartement bevat alles wat nodig is, een complete keuken, zeer goede bedden en twee badkamers. Het uitzicht is geweldig en het appartement is heerlijk stil. Er is een klein winkeltje op vijf minuten afstand waar je alles kunt kopen wat je nodig hebt. Maloja is een plaatsje waar weinig tot niets van toerisme is te merken. wij zijn van plan er zeker terug te komen. Bij problemen is de vestiging in St. Moritz altijd beschikbaar om te helpen.

Appartement très bien situé au calme avec vue sur la forêt et la montagne, proche de toutes les commodités ski de fond, marche, raquette à 10-15 min de St -Moritz pour la grande Coop. Bons lits, cuisine très bien équipée, balcon ensoleillé en fin de journée ce qui était parfais pour l’apéro dehors! Seul défaut: le plafond qui craquait parfois( bois, dilatation?) ce qui surprenait parfois.

Eine schöne, helle Wohnung, in der man sich sehr wohl fühlt. Die Küche ist gut eingerichtet mit allen Gerätschaften für den täglichen Gebrauch. Das Wohnzimmer ist gross und hell. Der Balkon hat Nachmittagssonne mit Blick auf ein schönes Plätzchen mit Wald und Blick auf die Berge. Der seitliche Blick geht auf das Segantini Museum und die Bergeller Berge. Die Betten sind bequem. Bäder mit Dusche/2WC‘s/Badewanne. Eingangsbereich großzügig. Garage mit Lift direkt zur Wohnung.

Wir verbrachten zwei sehr schöne Wochen. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen in direkter und weiterer Umgebung. Postautohaltestelle gleich neben dem Haus. Wir waren zu zweit. Für 4 Personen (wegen Bettsofa für Personen 3+4 im Wohnzimmer) ist unserer Meinung nach die Wohnung für längere Aufenthalte weniger geeignet.
