Practical and comfortable furnishings: living/sleeping room with sliding door with 1 double bed (2 x 90 cm, length 200 cm), satellite TV and radio. 1 small room with 1 bed (80 cm, length 200 cm). Small kitchen (3 hot plates, oven, toaster, kettle, electric coffee machine, Capsules for coffee machine (Nespresso) extra, fondue Set (cheese)). Bath/shower/WC. View of the mountains. Facilities: Internet (WiFi, free). Please note: non-smokers only. Maximum 1 pet/ dog allowed.

Chalet "Helene". On the outskirts, 600 m from the centre of Wengen, in a quiet, sunny position on a slope, 150 m from the edge of the forest. In the house: central heating system, washing machine, tumble dryer (for shared use). Pre-arrival grocery service. Shop, supermarket 750 m, restaurant, bar 450 m, bakery 700 m, 12 minute walk to the centre, bus stop "Lauterbrunnen (by train)" 3.8 km, railway station "Wengen" 750 m, outdoor swimming pool 1 km. Cable car, skisport facilities 600 m. Well-known lakes can easily be reached: Thunersee 13 km, Brienzersee 13 km. Please note: car-free holiday complex. Arrival via mountain railway. Additional accommodations can be booked. Arrival is only possible by train from Lauterbrunnen – 14 minutes driving time.

1'274 m a.s.l. >>Famous, idyllic, car-free holiday resort with 1'300 inhabitants, on top of a hill, situated at the foot of a mountain, on a plateau with beautiful view, 12 km from Interlaken, 15 km from Grindelwald. In the resort: shops, grocery, bakery, post office, bank, restaurant, night club, cinema. Wellness centre. Besides: doctor. Sights Männlichen, Jungfraujoch, Schilthorn, Trümmelbachfälle, Schynige Platte, Harder, First. Access: no access to the resort by car, reachable only by railway. The journey is made by rack railway (extra) from Lauterbrunnen. Parking spaces available at the train station.

Heated outdoor swimming pool. Tennis (2 outdoor courts). Minigolf. Paragliding. Mountain lifts, cableways, hiking paths, mountain hikes, mountain tours, climbing, children's hiking paths. Mountain bikes for hire. Children's playground.

Ski-region Jungfrau-Top Ski Region, total of 43 lifts. Total 213 km ski runs (30 % easy, 50 % intermediate, 20 % difficult), snow park. Ski school (downhill), snowboard school, children's ski school, ski kindergarten. Winter walking paths 50 km. 4 toboggan runs. Artificial ice rink, curling. Free parking space for skis and ski boots at Central Sport.

Wengen is magical. I fear over tourism is coming to all of Switzerland so going sooner rather than later is recommended. You will need a place to stay. This property provides many with an affordable option compared with most other rentals and hotels in the greater area. We stayed 4 nights in mid September. The view from the two windows is awesome out toward the Lauterbrunnen valley. Be advised, this property is on the lowest level and partially below ground. That can bring concerns over time

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, es gab schon einige Dinge, die ich Ihnen kurz mitteilen möchte: In der Wohnung gab es zwei Stellen mit Schwarzschimmel, einmal am Küchenfenster und einmal im Bodenbereich der Küche, Außenwand. Die Anzahl der Handtücher war eher mangelhaft, obwohl diese angeblich vorhanden sein sollten. Da es sich um eine UG-Wohnung handelt, waren einige "Kellerassel" und und Spinnen nebst Spinnenweben, vorhanden. Allerdings war die Lage sehr gut und die Größe der Zimmer ok.

Die Wohnung ist gut eingerichtet und für 3 Personen ideal. Da es eine Wohnung im Keller ist, ist sie relativ feucht und neigt etwas zu Schimmelbildung.

Apartment Hella in Chalet Helene gave us a good base in Wengen at a very quiet time of year (late November). The view is outstanding, the apartment was spotless, and my only comments relate to the lack of a lounge area. I would have thought the beds in the current lounge could be replaced with a large sofa bed, so the area could be dual purpose. And the single 90cm bed in the bedroom could be replaced with a standard 135cm double bed to make a better bedroom. Thank you to the Interhome team

Kein Spülmittel in der Küche, Kaffeemaschine total verkalkt, musste erst entkalkt werden, Batterien in den TV Fernbedienungen leer, Kontakte schon korrodiert, also besteht das Problem schon länger, etwas viel Spinnen und Kellerasseln in der Wohnung, eventuell Feuchteproblem, in der Küchenausrüstung fehlen Butterdose, Brotkasten, usw.

We have been coming to this chalet for over 20 years, but have been stay in the apartment next door to “Hella”. The view and location are fantastic, but we were surprised by how worn the kitchen was. Also there was black mold in the bath/shower, however, since the apartment is partially below ground it’s not too surprising. Otherwise the apartment is clean. Beds are comfortable. Wifi a bit spotty in certain parts of the apartment. We have always loved this chalet and the village of Wengen.

Fine appartment for a nice stay with my kids. The village and its surroundings are incredibly beautiful. The apartment itself is spacious, and has everything you need. It was a little damp and the kitchen was a little outdated, but for this price it is a really good accommodation in the Swiss alps!

Bis auf das Kühlschrankbrumen eine sehr schöne Lage. Schade, dass aus dem Beschrieb der Wohnung zuwenig hervorging, dass wir keine Terrasse hatten. Wir hatten auch keine Wisch und Reinigungsutensilien, um den Boden zu Wischen. Der Vorgarten lädt nicht zum verweilen ein. Wir wussten nicht dass es Gartenmöbel gab, die benutzt werden konnten. Kein wirkliches Radio resp. Radioempfang über die Satellitenschüssel.

Good location. Looked far, but there is not much of a uphill or downhill walk which makes it much easier. View from apartment is beautiful. Apartment itself has a warm decor, and is also clean, spacious with the kitchen pretty well stocked. Wifi worked, but was a little weak. I used my own data plan instead. Pillows are pretty soft for my liking, but pretty much the norm in Europe I think. Some improvements could be providing tissues and a non stick frying pan.

It was a quiet location, exactly what I wanted. Nice view over Lauterbrunnen valey. It's a bit far from the center of Wengen, but quietness and center don't match. It takes aprox 10 min from the railway station. It had everything we needed. A balcony would have been nice, but it's at ground level, so no balcony posible.

We are in the 80s and the distance from the train to the apartment is about 3/4 Of a mail. We are physically fit so it took it all in stride. This is an excellent apartment. It also a great value.

Old and dark apartment. Interior is in need of renovation. Good price/quality ratio though. Good views on the Lauterbrunnen valley. Far from the town centre in a quiet area. However, the sound of the refrigerator drove me nuts. I was glad I could sleep in the separate bedroom. Definitely not suitable for 3 persons (the 4 chairs don't even fit under the kitchen table). Maybe OK for 2 persons, but then you have to sleep in the living room and put up with the noise of the refrigerator.

Bedden en voorzieningen zijn goed. Helaas was het terras overwoekerd met planten en was er geen enkele uitleg over het feit dat er ook een wasmachine was en ook tuinstoelen. Helaas vonden wijndeze zelf maar te laat. Bij aanklmst hing er een formulier dat honden niet waren toegestaan maar op de website staat dat dit wel mogelijk is. Verder is er geen zithoek, alleen een keukentafel en wat losse stoelen

Wir waren zwei Freundinnen und haben es genossen, getrennt schlafen zu können. Die Wohnung ist ausreichend groß. Der Blick aus dem Fenster war genial. Leider gab es keine Sitzmöglichkeit außerhalb der Wohnung. Die Dunstabzugshaube in der Küche und der Abzug im Badezimmer funktionierten nicht. Ebenso der eine HDMI-Eingangskanal. Wir haben darumherum hantiert. Es gab ausreichend Sitzmöglichkeiten innerhalb der Wohnung. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.
