"Eigersonne", 2-room apartment 50 m2, on the top floor. With sloping ceilings, practical and comfortable furnishings: living/dining room with cable TV, radio and DVD. Alcove with 2 beds (90 cm, length 200 cm). 1 room with 1 double bed (2 x 90 cm, length 200 cm). Kitchen (4 hot plates, oven, toaster, kettle, microwave, electric coffee machine, fondue Set (cheese)). Shower/WC. Balcony. Balcony furniture. Very beautiful panoramic view of the mountains and the valley. Facilities: children's high chair, baby cot for up to 2 year olds (extra), hair dryer. Internet (WiFi, free). Please note: non-smokers only. Instead of an enclosed bedroom, some sleeping areas are located in an open-plan area (gallery, alcove, etc.).

3-family house "Eigersonne". 400 m from the centre of Wengen, in a quiet, sunny position on a slope. In the house: central heating system. Pre-arrival grocery service. Shop, supermarket 400 m, restaurant 200 m, bar, bakery 400 m, 5 minute walk to the centre, bus stop "Lauterbrunnen (by train)" 3.4 km, railway station "Wengen" 400 m, outdoor swimming pool 500 m. Cable car, skisport facilities 450 m, children's playground 200 m. Well-known lakes can easily be reached: Thunersee 13 km, Brienzersee 13 km. Please note: car-free holiday complex. Arrival via mountain railway. Arrival is only possible by train from Lauterbrunnen - 14 minutes travel time.

1'274 m a.s.l. >>Famous, idyllic, car-free holiday resort with 1'300 inhabitants, on top of a hill, situated at the foot of a mountain, on a plateau with beautiful view, 12 km from Interlaken, 15 km from Grindelwald. In the resort: shops, grocery, bakery, post office, bank, restaurant, night club, cinema. Wellness centre. Besides: doctor. Sights Männlichen, Jungfraujoch, Schilthorn, Trümmelbachfälle, Schynige Platte, Harder, First. Access: no access to the resort by car, reachable only by railway. The journey is made by rack railway (extra) from Lauterbrunnen. Parking spaces available at the train station.

Summer

Heated outdoor swimming pool. Tennis (2 outdoor courts). Minigolf. Paragliding. Mountain lifts, cableways, hiking paths, mountain hikes, mountain tours, climbing, children's hiking paths. Mountain bikes for hire. Children's playground.

Winter

Ski-region Jungfrau-Top Ski Region, total of 43 lifts. Total 213 km ski runs (30 % easy, 50 % intermediate, 20 % difficult), snow park. Ski school (downhill), snowboard school, children's ski school, ski kindergarten. Winter walking paths 50 km. 4 toboggan runs. Artificial ice rink, curling. Free parking space for skis and ski boots at Central Sport.

We chose this accommodation because of the views and they did not disappoint. Good. Views, comfy beds, balconies, distance to town/location (struggled to find on first day.) The instructions to find the house need to be better and a larger scale map. Bad, kitchen tiny. Only one useable plug socket for toaster and coffee maker but nowhere to put toaster. Had to put it on hob. Sloping ceilings did cause headaches (literally) but you get used to it. Armchairs so uncomfortable were unusable.

Appartement met geweldig uitzicht op de bergen en de Staubach waterval. Balkon is niet zo groot (smal) met z’n tweeën was het te doen en vooral genoten van het uitzicht maar voor vier personen is het balkon te klein. Verder een goed appartement. Binnen snel donker, wat somber maar dat is gevolg van Zwitserse stijl, plafond en wanden van hout. Ligt gunstig t.o.v. station, 5 minuten lopen.

Gemütlich eingerichtete zentral gelegene Dach-Wohnung mit kleinem sonnigen Balkon und einer traumhaften Bergsicht. Gut ausgestattete Küche, modernes Bad, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Coop),Bahnhof Wengen, Männlichen Luftseilbahn alles in 5-7Min erreichbar. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt kommen gerne wieder....
