Cosy, comfortable 2-family house "La Casa della Ceramista". In the centre of Viareggio, excellent location: right in the centre but still quiet, 500 m from the sea. Heating available only from 01.Nov. - 15.Apr.. Linen change (suppl. charge extra). Towel change (suppl. charge extra). Public parking on the road. Short-stay parking zone (fee). Restaurant, café 50 m, internet café 100 m, pedestrian zone 400 m, bicycle rental 50 m, bus stop 1 m, railway station "Viareggio" 400 m, sandy beach 1 km, park "Pineta di ponente" 600 m. Golf course (18 hole) 10 km, surf school 1 km, tennis 600 m. Nearby attractions: Forte dei Marmi 15 km, Pisa 20 km, Lucca 20 km, Cinque terre 50 km, Firenze 80 km, Pietrasanta 10 km. Hiking paths: Alpi Apuane 20 km. Please note: no lift.

Location Description Viareggio

Tourism has a long tradition in the main town on the Versilian coastline, manifested in the art deco buildings from the 1920s. The long sandy beach with numerous beach baths, the harbour, the different entertainment possibilities and the nightlife offer something for all tastes. Cycle path as far as Maria di Pietrasanta. Viareggio is also known for its carnival whereby enormous figures are transported in the procession. During the summer season there is a extra charge to use the beach. There are free beach near to Carnaiore and Torre del Lago. Chic, famous, busy bathing resort with 58'000 inhabitants, in the north-western part of the region, directly by the sea, in a convenient position, 25 km north-west from Lucca, 35 km north from Pisa. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort.

Stay away from this apartment as the downstairs neighbours are very picky and keep complaining to the agency that we are moving furniture and making noise, but we done the least noise as possible and with kids is impossible to stop them running around or dragging the chair when sitting. Agency was ringing me at 20: 47 to stop making noise. Also during baby bedtime early enough, the downstairs neighbour keep screaming because the baby is crying. Neighbours on ground floor keeping banging on the floor complaining about baby noises... Beds are not comfortable, you sink in and sleep in a whole. The bank bed every time you move on the bed makes a squeaking noise, that stops you to sleep. Taking the rubbish out is difficult, as they don't have public bins outside of the apartment, the agency call us on the last day a bit after 8pm to tell us not to leave any rubbish in the house and the nearest bin was like 10min walk from the apartment. The kitchen is small we were able to do basic meals. Bathroom and shower are good. The beaches nearby, you have to pay to go in 25€ and includes a umbrella and three chairs. The key collection was difficult and we had to use taxi because the interhome agency is 2hours walking and with adicional 86€ cost. It's a shame because the apartment is in a central location, close to the train station, shops, supermarkets, park with lot's of things for kids, beaches...

Appartamento provvisto di tutte le comodità. Se ne apprezza particolarmente la sua posizione centrale, a pochi passi da tutto (mare, passeggiata, supermercato, gastronomia...), ma nello stesso tempo trovandosi in un cortile interno permette di vivere in sicurezza e tranquillità. Ci tornerei.
