The house we propose, located in a panoramic position, is divided into two apartments communicating with each other from the outside. Large, child friendly, comfortable country house "Vedi Torre", from the 18th century, renovated in 2004, surrounded by trees and fields. 14 km from the centre of San Gimignano, 35 km from the centre of Siena, 48 km from the centre of Firenze, in the district Casaglia, in a secluded, quiet, sunny position on top of a hill, in the countryside. Private: property 1'200 m2, park 150 m2, garden 200 m2, swimming pool (12 x 6 m, depth 140 - 200 cm, seasonal availability: 27.Apr. - 26.Oct.). Outdoor shower, garden furniture, barbecue, pool maintenance by the owner/gardener. In the house: central heating system, heating to be paid on the spot, heating available only from 01.Nov. - 15.Apr.. Motor access to the house (2 km via unmade road). Parking on the premises. Supermarket 3 km, restaurant 3.5 km, bus stop 3 km, railway station 4 km. Golf course (9 hole) 10 km. 320 m a.s.l. >>San Gimignano is famous as the town of many towers. It has been awarded the UNESCO World Heritage status, there are only 15 remaining towers out of 75, it is the symbol of Medieval Tuscany and within its town walls man can still imagine the life of ancient times. Famous, historical resort with 7'000 inhabitants, in the centre of the region, on top of a hill with beautiful view, 45 km south-west from Firenze, 40 km north-west from Siena. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort.

Une residence spacieuse, avec beaucoup de cachet, très bien située et avec une vue magnifique. Une cuisine bien équipée, de la vaisselle en suffisance. Un wifi certes présent mais erratique et pas assez puissant pour couvrir la maison et assurer un bon débit. Un point noir majeur qui peut faire hésiter à recommander cette location, pour le prix aucune climatisation ! Et en Toscane en plein été avec 35 à 40 degrés l’absence de climatisation au moins dans les chambres est un vrai problème. Il n’y a pas assez de ventilateurs et qui soient efficaces et de nouvelles générations et pour le prix de la location c’est difficilement acceptable. D’autant que les propriétaires ne font pas gérer à distance les sollicitations de leurs locataires et personne ne répond à des besoins de ventilateurs efficaces supplémentaires. Idem pour le mobilier de jardin un peu ringard et dépassé par rapport au standing et au prix de la maison avec une insuffisance de transats pour tout le monde au bord de la piscine. La photo n’est effectivement pas contractuelle ! Et aucun pisciniste pour assurer le nettoyage de la piscine sur le séjour hormis un bref passage pour déposer 3 pastilles de chlore.

The view from this home is stunning, overlooking San Gimignano. The pool was so nice as the weather was very warm. The house was in fair condition. There were many lights that did not work, the screen in a bedroom was gone so the windows could. It be opened at nights, the WiFi did not work unless you were sitting right next to the box, and the stove did not work in the main kitchen. We asked for help from the host with very little response. She never came back to help with any of these issues. .

We loved our time at Verdi Torre. We left wishing we had more time. It’s a very charming farmhouse with breathtaking views. Our evenings outside by the pool were highlights of our holiday. We were two families with teen children and the space fit us perfectly. It is also ideally located for day trips in the region.

We had the perfect two weeks holidays in Tuscany during August 2023. The house is perfect for a big family or a group of friends. It has all amenities needed for a comfortable stay, the swimming is perfect and has sun all day long. The house is easy to reach by car and it's on the top of a hill so you have a breathtaking sunset view everyday. The owner was very responsive and kept close contact with us. We also tried the wines produced by them which was great. Property exactly as described

Min familie og jeg (9 ialt) havde en dejlig ferie i det rummelige feriehus med megen charme. Huset ligger dejligt ugeneret. Huset var rent og har alt, hvad man skal bruge. Poolen er rigtig god og blev flittig brugt af alle. Jeg kan vart anbefale det til.

We had a wonderful stay at the Villa Verdi Torre. The local host was wonderful. She cooked a feat of local Tuscan food and was very helpful when the wifi wasn't working - she went into town and bought us a new modem! She really went above and beyond. Thanks to Interhome for adding a fifth guests at the last minute and for opening the pool ahead of schedule for us!

Die Unterkunft trägt ihren Namen "Vedi Torre" (di SanGimignano) zurecht: von den Liegen um den Pool, ist die Silouette des mittelaterlichen Kleinods im Blickfeld. Die Unterkunft, aufgeteilt in zwei Wohnungen mit separatem Eingang, ist rustikal aber liebevoll eingerichtet. Im Hochsommer empfiehlt es sich, die Läden tagsüber geschlossen zu halten, sonst ist es in der Nacht (zu) warm in der Wohnung. Die Unterkunft ist ideal für eine Grossfamilie oder zwei kleinere Familien.
