410 m a.s.l. >>Burgo De La Garfagnana, rich with monuments and works of art that converses the typical medival structure with roads, narrow and winding with connecting to alley ways. Remarkable Palazzo Pretorio and the comunale Palazzo of XVI century, the monument Duomo (XI-XII sec) where you can enjoy a magnificent panaromic view of Apuane and Appennino. In summer Jazz and Opera festivals. Historical resort with 10'000 inhabitants, in the north-western part of the region, on a slope, in a secluded, idyllic position, 38 km north from Lucca, 65 km north from Pisa, 105 km north-west from Firenze. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Thermal bath oder hot springs, health cures at 17 km.

Das Haus hatte alles, was man brauchte. War gut ausgestattet. Man musste sich nur an den Boden gewöhnen, da dieser wackelte. Für die Kinder war der Pool das Highlight. Morgens und wenn man wieder zurück kam, schnell in den Pool, zum abkühlen. Herr S. war sehr sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Er hatte viele Tipps. Ein dickes Lob an ihn. Zusätzlich hatte man ein Panoramablick. Einfach perfekt. Leider konnte man Abends, trotz Autan, nicht lange draußen sitzen.

Unser Aufenthalt war wunderschön. Die Kinder konnten morgens direkt und zum Tagesabschluss in den Pool springen. Das war das Highlight der Kinder. Auch der Gastgeber Herr S. war sehr sehr freundlich und hatte echt super Tipps. War immer erreichbar. Ein extra Lob. Das Haus war wie beschrieben. Alles war vorhanden. Sauber und ordentlich. Woran man sich gewöhnen musste, waren die Böden, da die ein wenig wackelten. Aber es ja auch ein altes Bauernhaus. Die Aussicht war unbeschreiblich. Draußen konnte man nur sitzen, wenn man mit Autan eingeschmiert war.

The house is fantastic! Very neat and clean and above all very complete, everything is there. The garden and the view are amazing, we couldn't get enough of the view. There is plenty to do and see in the area and S. is the best host you can imagine. He gives great tips, knows a lot about the house and the surrounding area and he is always willing to think along and helps you where he can. S. provided the icing on the cake. We had a fantastic time and definitely hope to come back again!

We spent a wonderful two weeks at House San Bernadino. S. bent over backwards to make our stay as comfortable as possible and we appreciated his great sense of humour. Our four sighthounds especially appreciated the huge fenced in yard and got a lot of exercise. We are familiar with the Barga area so really took advantage of wonderful food and time spent with friends. We will be coming again, soon!

Enthousiaste en vriendelijke eigenaar, die boordevol tips zit van het weer tot de bezienwaardigheden. Charmant en goed ingericht landhuis. Ruime kamers en van alle gemakken voorzien. Groot terrein met mooi en schoon zwembad en gelegenheid om buiten te eten. Schitterend uitzicht vanuit woning en terrein op omringende omgeving. Gelegen bij leuk en mooi stadje. Veel leuke en interessante bezienswaardigheden in de omgeving.

De omgeving was prachtig, het huis was schoon en alles was aanwezig, voor een onvergetelijke vakantie. S. de huisbewaarder was ook geweldig, je kon hem via WhatsApp vragen stellen over de omgeving, hij antwoorde direct en stuurde je linken, waar je kon parkeren enz. Echt een geweldige vakantie gehad. We really had a nice stay at San Bernardino. Besides the pleasant garden/swimming pool and the astonishing view, the host really made the difference (e.g. giving advice, giving historical information,..). In conclusion: a really nice trip!

Such a warm welcome from the hosts with lots of information. The Farmhouse is spectacular with mountainous views, it was spotless and well stocked with good appliances, although we mainly used the outside bbq! We were too early in the season to use the pool but it looked good with sunloungers and a dry area, there are outside tables and plenty of chairs for sunshine dining, we loved it, thankyou.

Wir waren zu sechst in diesem tollen Haus. S. hat uns in Empfang genommen alles erklärt und war auch sonst immer ansprechbar. Einfach toll! Viel Platz, Ruhe, Berge und in Barga auch alle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Jederzeit wieder

Das Ferienhaus kann man nur weiterempfehlen. Das Haus ist zwar schon etwas älter, aber sehr sauber . Das Haus umfasst ein großes, eingezäuntes Grundstück mit einem sehr schönen Pool. Der Besitzer hatte sogar für die Kinder ein aufgeblasenes Krokodil in den Pool gelegt. Die haben sich gefreut. In Barga selbst, ca 2,5 km entfernt, gibt es sehr einladende Restaurants. Man sollte sich unbedingt die Altstadt von Barga anschauen, es lohnt sich. Ein Ausflug nach Lucca lohnt sich ebenfalls.

Grosser komplett umzäunter Garten, perfekt mit Kind und Hund. Gemütliches Landhaus. S. war sehr aufmerksam und unkompliziert, der Pool wurde regelmässig gereinigt und alles war sauber.
