Please note: non-smokers only. 1 pet/ dog allowed. Smoke alarm, fire extinguisher. Second pet possible on request (payment per dog/day on site). Access to the upper floor via external staircase (wooden).

Location Description Schönecken

400 - 550 m a.s.l. >>Well-known holiday resort with 1'500 inhabitants, 10 km from Prüm, 22 km from Gerolstein, 26 km from Stadtkyll. Bitburg 27 km. Daun 37 km. Trier 58 km. The historic borough Schönecken is nestled in the valley of the Nims, over which the ruins of the castle Schönecken are enthroned. “Bella Costa” or “Clara Costa” has been watching the events in the Nimstal for about 800 years. With unique natural treasures, several nature reserves (Schönecker Schweiz, Altburgtal) and a botanical nature trail, nature lovers will find many opportunities for recreation. Orchids and lilacs, a juniper heath and kilometer-wide wild garlic meadows can be found in their synergy only in Schönecken. Schönecken is a rich treasure trove for geologists and hobby geologists, where fossil remains of bygone eras appear in many places. The “Wetteldorfer Richtschnitt” is globally recognised as a geological calibration point for the transition from the Lower to the Middle Devon age.
