30 km west of Rovaniemi, lake Sonkajärvi 25 m (legth 4 km, breadth 1,5 km), shallow soft muddy bottom, own boat. Log cabin 2003, livingroom kitchen convertible sofa (=2 extrabeds), small sleeping room2 beds, sleeping loft 2 beds, washing room, dressing room, sauna (elec. stove), veranda 50 sqm. A baking oven in connection with the fireplace.Wi-Fi. A cozy cottage of Santa. In this cottage there's an air source heat pump which is adjusted to appropriate temperature (client can't make changes to adjustment). Christmas related services on request / by separate payment. Eg. Santa Claus and elves can come to the cottage by separate booking / price (starting price year 2015: 150 euros). Reindeer safaris by separate booking / payment. Mountain bikes and snow shoes can be rented by serarate agreement / price. Very quiet place, neighbours cannot be seen. 30 km to Rovaniemi. Arctic circle 35 km. 300 meters to public road. Good fish stocks: pike, perch, whitefish, brown trout. Good berry- and mushroom picking terrain nearby. Transfer service from the airport/railway station for extra charge. During Christmas, New Year, weeks 8 and 9 and Easter only whole week bookings.

Nous avons séjourné à 2 dans ce chalet pour une durée de 10 jours, c’était exactement ce que nous recherchions : un chalet isolé dans la forêt au bord d’un lac gelé, avec cheminée et sauna ; petit + pour les décorations de noël qui nous attendaient. On a même pu observer les aurores boréales tous seuls depuis le lac, un moment hors du temps. Le propriétaire était joignable facilement, la récupération des clés facile, je recommande et nous avons déjà envie de revenir !

Nous avons beaucoup aimé notre séjour en laponie dans le chalet de Raimo et Leena. Il était très joli et confortable. Juste à cote du lac qui etait gelé et recouvert de neige, ce qui nous a permis de faire de belle balade et les enfants ont pu samuser. R. très sympathique et qui peut donner des conseils. Nous sommes ravis de notre choix .

Notre séjour a été parfait. Nous recherchions un lieu au calme, qui nous apporte confort et dépaysement. Feu de cheminée devant le lac gelé. Le chalet est digne d'un film. Les enfants ont adoré aussi. Balade en raquette et luge etaient de mise. Le véhicule est obligatoire mais tellement parfait d'être comme seuls au monde.

Muy recomendable por su ubicación que es única, la tranquilidad y la paz del entorno. Todo en perfecto estado tanto de mantenimiento como de limpieza. Casa muy acogedora y estando en el exterior a -20ºC, estuvimos increíblemente bien. Sin duda un acierto.

Haben das Ferienhaus als Ausgangspunkt für Aktivitäten im Grossraum Rovaniemi genutzt und zeitgleich auch ein Haus gesucht mit dem gewissen Lapplandflair. Dank seiner Lage am See und ungestört im Wald war das Haus dafür ideal. Rovaniemi selbst ist in knapp 30min erreichbar.

Der Gastgeber war freundlich, die Schlüsselübergabe etwas kompliziert. Die Unterkunft machte einen ungepflegten Eindruck, wie wenn seit Wochen/Monaten niemand mehr dort gewesen wäre. Wir brauchen im Sommer keinen verstaubten Weihnachtsschmuck in der Ferienwohnung.
