Puikkokoski (1952), totally renovated 2018, is an idyllic, old lumberjack cottage which is suitable for example as a holiday base for groups or several families in the middle of the purest kind of Kainuu forest landscape. Cottage living area is 194 m², on one level. There has a large 70-seat room with a huge natural stone fireplace. Wide 30 m² terrace. There is a separate kitchen (dinner set for 70 persons). Six bedrooms with bunk-beds, total for 16 persons. There is 3 x indoor WC. From some of the bedrooms entrance to the living room and other common spaces is from outdoors. Behind the cottage is small flowing creek, there located in log wooden sauna (52 m²). Sauna has a spacious living room with fireplace / dressing room, 2 showers, sauna (electric stove) at one time for up to 12 people. Porch / patio area and a separate eco toilet. Possibility of swimming in the stream (distance 3 m), swimming ladder (steep descent into the creek, hard, deep ground). Sauna with cold and hot water + electricity. Extra details: Camp fire, 2 x outdoor toilet. Doghouse.The wood shed and other outbuildings. Car heating plugs (x2). The cabin does not have a TV. Video projector and stereo / cd players (RCA), + normal mobile connections. Bed and high chair for a baby if needed, at extra charge. Also 5 extra beds available at extra charge. Kajaani 30 km, Kontiomäki - shop - restaurant - 6 km, Paltamo / Golf 20 km, Vuokatti Ski center 30 km, Holiday Club Katinkulta Spa / Golf 30 km. Camp Puikkokoski is perfect for different groups of friends, sauna evenings, corporate events. However, please, notice that if you are planning to have party or event where there will visit more persons than 16 (=cottage's maximum number of persons), it should be agreed with the owner in advance. Special price for Wedding weekend (Fri-Sun) price 1200 €, inc. 2 x property presentation and space planning. On request guided activities (adventures, hiking, fishing), also transport, catering and snacks. Check in at 16 arrival day, and check out at 12, departure day, also in every day- and weekend bookings. Pets are allowed at extra price (one fee, inc. 1-2 pet, if more, fee double), if more, price is per pet. HOX. no pets in the one bedroom, the last one. Note: price does not include bed linen or final cleaning. Remember take your own bed linen (sheets and towels) along and please make the final cleaning end of your stay, IF you have not ordered bed linen / cleaning beforehand at extra charge.
