Location Description Fanø

Large, well-known bathing resort with 3'500 inhabitants, in the western part of the region, directly by the sea, 10 km west from Esbjerg. In the resort: supermarket, shops, butchery, bakery, boutiques, bank, restaurant, bar, museum. Fitness centre. Besides: pharmacy, doctor. Kids' club Legeland Indoor playground 2 km, Skovlegeplads Forest playground 9 km, nature reserve. Access: no access to the resort by car, reachable only by boat from Esbjerg 5 km. Car ferry Nordby Fanø - Esbjerg 10 km.

Summer

Sandy beach, 15 m long, gently sloping, with beach facilities, suitable for children, 3 km from the resort. Surfing. Minigolf 2 km. Fishing (permit required). Hiking paths. Bicycle paths. Children's playground. The west coast is rough, fresh, roaring and delightfully exhilarating. You will find long, wide and sandy beaches with high dunes as far as the eye can see. You can experience some of Denmark's most scenic sunsets over the North See from the beaches in western Jutland. If you prefer calmer water and characteristic natural experiences, you ought to visit the preserved peninsula Skallingen, where the seals are gambolling, or the bird sanctuary Tipperne at Ringkobing Fjord. These places offer impressive sights, as millions of migratory birds gather here every spring and autumn on their way towards north or south. By the lighthouse 'Blaavandshuk Fyr' you will find Denmark's most western point. Surrounding the lighthouse the many concrete bunkers still bear widness of World War II.

Dejlig uge på Fanø :-) -dog manglede vi en manual til optænding af varme, men da vi ringede til Sol og Strand, Fanø kom der heldigvis en medarbejder ud på adressen, -han viste os hvordan det virkede, og så kørte det ;-)

Trotz der kleinen Patzer mit den schmutzigen Fenstern und dem etwas ungepflegt wirkenden Außenbereich haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt, es war alles da, was man so benötigt, die Möbel sind bequem und im Schuppen sind jede Menge Auflagen und ein Grill. Man sieht des öfteren Rehe und Hasen im Garten, Fasane und sogar Füchse in der Umgebung. Tolle Insel, herrliche Strände, leckeres Softeis im Ort. Die Dörfer sind absolut sehenswert! Die Pancakes sind sehr empfehlenswert und die Hofläden ebenfalls....

Het huisje is voorzien van alle benodigdheden. Het was wel veel kleiner en minder moderen dan de indruk die wij ervan hadden door de foto's. Het huisje was ook erg koud ( mei). Beneden was het goed te verwarmen maar de kacheltjes op de slaapkamers waren oud en functioneerden niet goed en waren zeker niet duurzaam. Dat is met de huidige prijzen voor Electra toch wel een ding. Ik vind het niet echt een huis voor 6 personen, daarvoor is het te klein en de badkamer met toilet is krap. Ook de waterboiler kan 6 personen die willen douchen niet aan. Omgeving is wijds en vrij en vlakbij wandelgebied. We hebben erg genoten van de natuur. Ik zou dit huisje aanraden voor in de zomer maar wel voor maximaal 2 volwassenen en 2 kinderen.

Ein schönes Haus , gemütlich eingerichtet und ein toller Ofen, der das Haus gut warm geheizt hat. Es ist aber dennoch ein Sommerhaus, die ElektroÖfen machen die Luft warm, passt schon... aber bei dem Sturm 02/22 war die Wärme auch schnell wieder weg. Das Haus hat ganz schön doll geknarzt durch die Böen. Achtung! uns ist der Reifen kaputt gegangen beim Herausfahren, habe die Ursache nicht gefunden.

Die Leitung bei der Spülmaschine war defekt. Unter der Spüle war es nach jedem Laufen der Spülmaschine naß. Man musste immer einen Lappen unter die Spüle legen und vorher darunter ausräumen. Vielleicht kann das behoben werden.
