Location Description Sæby

Small, picturesque town with 8'900 inhabitants, in the centre of the region, directly by the sea, on a river, 15 km south from Fredrikshavn. In the resort: supermarket, shops, bakery, boutiques, bank, restaurant, bar, museum. Indoor aquatic centre. Besides: pharmacy, doctor. Sights Sæby Glaspusteri 500 m.

Summer

Sandy beach, 3 m long, gently sloping, with beach facilities, suitable for children, 500 m from the resort. Sports harbour. Fishing (permit required). Hiking paths. Bicycle paths, bicycles and mountain bikes for hire. North-eastern Jutland is famous for its small cosy seaside towns with the lively harbours and the many child-friendly beaches. Here the water is shallow and the sea, the Kattegat, shows the best side of its character. Some places, the white sandy beaches are replaced by water-meadows and lagoons with a rich bird life. The hinterland is characterized by large moors, hilly landscapes and plantations. Here you will also find many old and interesting village churches, castles, manor houses and historic monuments.

We hebben een hele fijne vakantie gehad in dit geweldige vakantiehuis midden in de natuur. We hebben genoten van de enorme ruimte, zowel binnen als buiten. Binnen 5 minuutjes op de fiets waren we bij het strand. Het huis was erg knus en heel gezellig ingericht; overal gezellige lampjes en schilderijen. Alles voor een fijn verblijf was aanwezig, bijv. barbecue, kachel met alle benodigdheden, heerlijke ligstoelen voor op het terras, fietsen en werkelijk alle keukenapparatuur. We konden eigenlijk maar één klein nadeel bedenken: er was maar één badkamer. Voor ons gezin (met twee pubers van 15 en 17) is een tweede badkamer wel fijner, maar dit wisten we natuurlijk van tevoren.

Wer die Natur liebt, und auch nicht gleich bei einer Spinne das Weite sucht, wird hier einen wundervollen Urlaub verbringen. Wir haben mit unseren Kindern eine tolle, sonnige Woche dort verlebt. Das große Grundstück ist ein Traum und es gab jede Menge Tiere ( Rehe, Hasen, Eichhörnchen etc. ) zu beobachten.
