Location Description Aakirkeby

Small, medieval resort with 2'100 inhabitants, in the southern part of the island 3 km from the sea, 15 km south-east from Rønne. In the resort: supermarket, shops, bakery, bank, restaurant, museum. Fitness centre. Besides: pharmacy, doctor. Sights Aa Kirke. Access: no access to the resort by car, reachable only by boat from Køge 170 km. Car ferry Køge - Rønne 18 km.

Summer

Sandy beach, 3 km from the resort. Hiking paths. Bicycle paths, bicycles for hire. Bornholm, the island of contrasts, is characterized by its spectacular rocky coasts, deep quarries and waterfalls in the north, its kilometres of white sandy beaches in the south and its beautiful beech forests with forest lakes in the centre of the island. Denmark's only rocky island radiates a quite special atmosphere with its small idyllic fishing villages, the characteristic smokehouses, the round churches and the many sights. Many craftsmen reside on the island and in various places it is possible to visit the local sculptors, glassblowers, potters and painters. Almindingen is the country's fifth largest forest. A beautiful and varied forest in a highland with i.a. ponds and small lakes. This is also the location of Rytterknagten, the highest spot in Bornholm (162 m). At the rocks Helligdomsklipperne between Gudhjem and Allinge, steps lead down through a deep gap. Rugged rock formations in the water contribute to the creation of spectacular scenarios.

Til ejeren af ferielejligheden. Vi har nu holdt ferie i ferielejlighederne Dams på Bakken i 10 år i uge 24 og ca. 5 el. 6 år i jeres dejlige ferielejlighed! Vi har netop valgt dette sted, da vi kunne svømme i poolen i HELE vores ferieuge, hvor også Folkemødet ligger. Udlejningsbilledet med ferielejligheden vises også med områdets indbydende swimmingpool. I år blev vi standset af folk fra bestyrelsen af området, som meddelte os, at vi først kunne benytte poolen fra 15.6! Det kom som en kedelig overraskelse, da vi gerne ville svømme hver dag i vores ferie som tidligere! Det betyder, at vi næste år i uge 24, 2024 har vi måtte fravælge ferielejligheden, som vi som sagt er meget glade for, da poolen først åbner lørdag 15.6, hvor vi skal afrejse! Vi håber, at I kan få ændret åbningsdatoen tilbage, så vi kan komme tilbage til ferielejligheden og kunne svømme hver dag. God sommer! Venlig hilsen Bjarne og Nina.

I år var det 4. gang, vi boede i ferieboligen. 8. gang i feriebyen. Det er en lille ferielejlighed, som passer fint til os 2 personer. Sengen blev skiftet ud sidste år (da man "faldt ned igennem den gamle" og er perfekt at ligge i. Vi har kun roser til den lille lejlighed og så svømmer vi hver dag! Næste år bliver det 5. gang, vi lejer lejligheden. Vi glæder os allerede. Kan varmt anbefales!

Vi havde en skøn ferie. Sol fra morgen til aften. Ferielejligheden var tiptop i orden. Der var kommet en ny seng, som vi nød. Huset kan varmt anbefales.
