Treffen is only 10 minutes from Villach (8km) and only a few minutes from the 11km long Ossiach lake. For those who love culture, the annual Carinthian summer at Lake Ossiach, a rendezvous of the greats of contemporary music, is certainly well known, but also excursions to interesting sights in the vicinity such as the alpine and mountain farmer's museum on the Gerlitzen Alpe, the adventure thermal baths in Warmbad Villach, the Burgarena Finkenstein or the eagle flight show at Burg Landskron definitely make a holiday on Lake Ossiach an experience.

Summer

In summer, the warm Ossiach bathing lake, just a few minutes away, is ideal for families to relax and unwind. The brisk tourism has been preserved to this day - albeit in its most pleasant form. The scenic backdrop has hardly changed. In the foreground the green of the Gerlitzen Alpe - is a very popular hiking paradise (open in summer: May to October) and in the background the blue of the Ossiacher See. There is a lot on offer for active holidays: eg paragliding, tennis, mountain biking, sailing or surfing, fishing, hang gliding, rowing, swimming, water skiing and cycling. There are also two mini golf courses, a diving center and a summer toboggan run, as well as horseback riding in the vicinity. Winter

Professional ski and snowboard schools for beginners and professionals in Gerlitzen/Kanzelhoehe (800 m), in Verditz (11 km) or in Afritz (9 km). Skiing from November to April, guaranteed snow. And ideal for children is the Gerli-Schneebaerenland and the dwarf ski school. With the Kanzelbahn/Gipfelbahn you can reach 1,911 meters in altitude in 20 minutes. Other options: curling, tobogganing, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing.
