The hilly countryside and the wonderful bathing lakes around Felchkirchen can be reached within a few minutes by car and offer a great deal of activities for young and old visitors. The towns Klagenfurt and Villach as well as Lake Wörtersee (Velden) are approx. 20 km away. The three-border area is 45 km away (trips possible to Italy or Slovenia).

Here, you are in the middle of a lake paradise: the idyllic Lake Maltschach lies south of Feldkirchen. The lake, nestled amid gentle hills, is a holiday paradise untouched by mass tourism. It offers water temperatures of up to 27 degrees, good bathing water quality and, of course, entertainment for children. Lake Flatschach is only a few minutes away, hidden in the middle of nature with a large sunning area and a great playground. Smaller bathing lakes in the surroundings: Urbansee, Goggausee or Haidensee. The large, well-known Lake Ossiach, lying at the foot of the Gerlitzen mountain, can be reached within 10 minutes by car. A cycle path leads from Feldkirchen to Lake Ossiach. Lake Wörthersee and Lake Faak are also easy to reach within a few minutes by car. It's a perfect area for walking, hiking and cycling.

The Gerlitzen Free Ride Area and Freestyle Park offer everything that a snowboarder’s heart desires: natural runs, cornices, curved box, deep powder skiing and much more.
