Attractive Highland village set amidst Scots Pine forests on the banks of the River Spey situated approximately 8 km north of Aviemore and 40 km south of Inverness. This quiet village offers a range of activities including fishing, golf, tennis and mountain biking. The Strathspey Steam Railway operates a service to Aviemore from the village station. Named after the original ferry crossing, the village is popular with ornithologists for its famous RSPB reserve and Osprey Centre. Good position for touring along the Spey valley to visit the whiskey distilleries, castles and of course to Loch Ness.
