Calpe

The over 330 m high rock Penyal d’Ifac is considered a scenic landmark, located in the sea and connected to the mainland by only a small strip. Hike up to the summit and enjoy the view over Calp, the coastal region, and the iconic salt lake within the city area. The Platja del Arenal-Bol and the Platja de La Fossa are the two most well-known sandy beaches. Those in search of historical sights will find them in the old town. Especially the parish church Nuestra Senora de las Nieves and the Torreo de la Peca are worth a visit.

Denia

Denia is a holiday resort in the Alicante region and is considered part of the Costa Blanca. Here you can engage in various beach activities and rent one of the loungers. Javea

The sandy beach stretches over 20 km along the coast of Javea. If you're in the mood for tranquility, set out to discover the numerous hidden coves. Perfect for families is El Arenal beach: Here, there are play facilities. Umbrella and sunbed rentals are also available. The city, located at the foot of the Montgo massif, enchants with a picturesque center characterized by houses with ornaments made from Tuscan stones. One of the most beautiful buildings is the fortress church of San Bartolome, which you can recognize from afar by its 30 m high bell tower. The interior is richly adorned with columns and pointed arches.

Alicante

The imposing Castillo de Santa Barbara towers into the sky. The historic castle from the 18th century is located on the top of a rock that juts out over the city near the harbor. Also worth seeing is the Explanada de Espana promenade, made of more than 6 million marble stones. With summer temperatures of up to 30°C and many hours of sunshine per day, the months from May to September are ideal for a beach holiday. The Playa del Postiguet is particularly popular and is within walking distance from the city center. The Playa San Juan is somewhat quieter.

Elche

Elche is home to several impressive museums, with the archaeological exhibitions being particularly recommended. Here, visitors learn more about the long history of the region, which was already inhabited in ancient times. In the Museo de la Festa, you can learn more about the city's iconic mystery plays. The construction of the Basilica de Santa Maria began in the 17th century. The church is one of the most impressive buildings of Spanish Baroque. Also, visit the Palacio de Altamira from the late Middle Ages or take a look at the centuries-old watchtowers of the former fortification.

Benidorm

Summer in Benidorm begins as early as May and lasts until September. During these months, Playa de Poniente, Playa de Levante, and Playa del Mal Pas invite you to sunbathe, relax, and swim. Along the coast, you will also find several cafés and restaurants. The two huge amusement parks Mundomar and Terra Mitica are among the most popular attractions around Benidorm and are often visited by families. Torrevieja

Torrevieja benefits from its location in a plain between two salt lagoons and the Mediterranean Sea. The sea influences the climate in Dénia: Summers are dry and warm, most of the precipitation falls in winter, and it doesn't get really cold. With 41 millimeters, November is the rainiest month. If you are planning a beach holiday in Dénia, you can look forward to water temperatures of over 20 degrees from May onwards. Water temperatures reach 26 to 27 degrees from July to August. Even in the coldest month, January, it is mild with a maximum air temperature of 15 degrees. The months of May to July offer particularly a lot of sunshine: There are twelve hours of sunshine per day.
