Feldberg Trail

The region with its dense forests, clear lakes, and great ski slopes attracts hikers and winter sports enthusiasts. At the Feldberg Nature Conservation Center, you can learn interesting facts about fauna and flora. Here also begins the enjoyable "Wichtelpfad" for the little excursionists. The premium hiking trail Feldberg-Steig from Feldberg leads over swaying suspension bridges around the summit and to the Feldsee. Through bizarre gorges and over rustic forest paths, you reach the Todtnau Waterfall on the Waterfall Trail. This plunges 97 meters down in four stages. On hot summer days, the beaches of Lake Schluchsee are enticing. In winter, numerous lifts, well-prepared slopes and trails, as well as thrilling sledding hills invite you to a varied family vacation.

Goat Path Menzenschwand

Start your approximately four-hour circular hike at the Mösle hiking car park in Hinterdorf. A narrow path leads through a large pasture field to the 1,062 m high Schwarzberg with great views. The descent is lined with marshy meadows in the retention area of a former glacier. Water-rich streams rush down the valley. Imaginatively designed rest areas invite you to take a break. An attraction along the way is the Menzenschwand Waterfall, which plunges into a gorge with 30 m high rock walls. The safe path through the gorge is exciting. At its end, the Kuckuck Inn offers welcome refreshments. Back at the hiking car park, the Radon Vital thermal bath in Menzenschwand promises relaxing wellness.

Durbach Wine Panorama

The premium hiking trail Durbach Wine Panorama is 15.3 km long. It starts and ends in Durbach in the middle of the Black Forest. Through vineyards and forest, it leads to the viewpoint at Plauelrainer Köpfle and further to the chapel ruins of St. Anton in the Hardtwald, where ivy and roses wind around the outer walls. A highlight of the hike is Staufenberg Castle. The fortress dates back to the 11th century and today houses a restaurant. In sunny weather, there is a magnificent view from the terrace over the treetops of the Black Forest and the many vineyards all the way to Strasbourg Cathedral.

Baiersbronn Gourmet Trail

The Gourmet Trail Baiersbronn starts at the Sommerseite parking lot. The first part of the route runs on natural paths past Waldacker. Soon you will reach the viewpoint at Petermännle, where, according to legend, a little man lived. The next prominent point is Labronnerkopf, located at 820 meters. After a while, the Gourmet Trail merges into the Murg Valley Hiking Trail. Now it continues over the Sattelei Path to the managed Sattelei Hut. On the terrace or in the rustic guest room, you can discover regional delicacies. Well-fortified, you continue to the Rinkenturm. Afterwards, you stroll down the Rinkenturm Path into the valley.

Schluchsee Hunter's Trail

The Schluchsee Hunter's Trail leads up an old "hunter's path" to the 1,180 m high Ahaberg. On a former border path, you reach the rock pulpit Bildstein with the Riesenbühlturm. From its height, you have a magnificent view over the lake and the Southern Black Forest Nature Park. After descending, you return along the lakeshore. On the way back through the Aha district, you will find beautiful bathing spots. The starting point of the Schluchsee Hunter's Trail is the town hall in Schluchsee. Plan about four hours of walking time for your tour. Back carriers can be rented at the Schluchsee Tourist Information. Remember to wear sturdy footwear. The path is suitable for leashed dogs.

Mummelsee-Hornisgrinde Trail

The circular hiking trail, awarded as a gourmet path, leads in about 2.5 hours from the Mummelsee over the summit of the Hornisgrinde and crosses a primeval high moor landscape. The entry point is located behind the Berghotel Mummelsee. On the way up, a short detour to the Katzenkopf offers a fantastic view of the lake landscape. From the observation tower on the summit of the Hornisgrinde, you are offered a magnificent panoramic view of the diverse mountain landscape all the way to the Alps. On the way back, you will encounter Heidschnucken enjoying the moor grass. Via the steep Schwabenwegle and through a dark coniferous forest, you will return to the shore of the Mummelsee.

Connoisseur's Path - Gingerbread Maker's Trail

At the parking lot of the Todtmoos swimming pool, the approximately 12-kilometer-long gourmet trail - Lebküchlerweg - begins. First, you stroll through the mystical Raven Gorge. The path continues above the Black Rocks to the Rudolf-Jordan Hut. Now the forest clears, and you enjoy a magnificent view of the Todtmoos Valley and the Hotzenwald. If you feel like taking a break, take a seat in the sky loungers, which invite you to relax under willow beeches. The hike continues to the Liebfrauenbrunnen. Over footbridges, you descend into a gorge in the Rütte district. Shortly before the end of the round, you can stop at the Rößle restaurant.

Zweitäler Trail

The Zweitälersteig is a circular route of about 108 km that begins in Waldkirch and leads through the Black Forest as well as the Elz Valley and Simonswälder Valley. The hiking trail goes up to the Kandel and past the ruins of Schwarzenburg. In total, there are 4,120 meters of elevation on the beautiful route. The hiking trail has been qualified as a quality hiking trail by the Association of German Mountain and Hiking Clubs and is divided into five stages. Among the special sights along the route, in addition to the magnificent views, are the very impressive Zweribach Waterfalls, over 40 meters high, or the beautiful Teichschlucht in the Black Forest.
