The coastal hiking trail from Saint Cyr sur Mer extends over a good 12 kilometers from the port of La Madrague to the neighboring community of Bandol. Day 1
Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer on the Côte d'Azur delights you with turquoise waters in cozy bays, behind which dense forests stretch. Your first day begins relaxed on the beach of Les Lecques, one of the two districts of Saint-Cyr. This 1.4 km long, fine sandy beach has good infrastructure with a wealth of amenities and sports opportunities. In the afternoon, take a tour of Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer. The community was already settled in Roman times, as evidenced by numerous archaeological finds. You can view these at the Tauroentum Museum near the coast. A half-hour walk will take you to the Sébastien Art Center, dedicated to the works of the artist of the same name. In the immediate vicinity is the Grande Place, the main square of Saint-Cyr. Here stands a smaller copy of the New York Statue of Liberty. End the evening at the La Madrague harbor. Enjoy a delicious dinner with a view over the sea.

In the hinterland of Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer, you will discover breathtakingly beautiful landscapes to explore on excursions. On your second day, take a hike on the Sentier du Littoral, the coastal path. Start in the village of La Fauconnière with its impressive cliffs and head east towards the coastal town of Bandol until you reach the picturesque bathing bay of Port d’Alon. High, pine-covered rocks provide a natural frame and an idyllic backdrop for the crystal-clear water. A little further east lies the bay of La Galère with its distinctive rock, whose shape resembles a submarine. The hinterland of Bandol is known for its vineyards. Here, you can taste fine wines during a visit to a winery. In and around Bandol, markets are regularly held where you can taste and purchase local products. Spend the evening in Bandol and explore the historic center of the town.
Day 3
Not far from Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer runs the Route des Crêtes, the ridge road. It connects Cassis with the town of La Ciotat. This winding coastal road is 15 km long and presents a sporting challenge for your third day. Explore the unique route by bicycle: You start your tour at the lively harbor of Cassis. High above the city rises the Château de Cassis, a castle from the 14th century. The Route des Crêtes runs along the cliffs past Cap Canaille, the highest cliff in France. Behind every hairpin bend, a new postcard view awaits you. From afar, you can already see the port city of La Ciotat, which is overlooked by the reddish rock Bec de l’Aigle. Relax with a coffee in the picturesque harbor and enjoy the view over the sea. From the harbor, make a detour to the offshore island Île Verte, where a magical sunset awaits you.
