Day 1
After your luggage is unloaded and you have rested a little, the first adventure begins. Start your first day on the Île d'Oléron with a visit to the Chassiron Lighthouse. This historic lighthouse not only offers a breathtaking view of the sea but also a small museum that tells the history of the island and the lighthouse. After climbing the lighthouse, you can take a walk through the surrounding gardens, which are equipped with informative panels about the local flora and fauna. Then drive to the charming village of Saint-Pierre-d'Oléron, known for its picturesque alleys and traditional houses. Here you can visit the island's museum, which offers interesting insights into the history and culture of the Île d'Oléron. For lunch, be sure to try the fresh seafood, which is particularly popular in this region. In the afternoon, a trip to La Cotinière beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, is recommended. Here you can relax, swim, or simply enjoy the sun. End the day with a cozy dinner in one of the local restaurants, where you can enjoy the delicious regional cuisine.
