Promenade of Vodice

The approximately 4 km long promenade of Vodice connects the center of the coastal town with the neighboring beaches. In the summer months, there is always something happening here. Street performers showcase their talents, open-air festivals take place, and locals and tourists celebrate in the beach clubs. While strolling, you can shop in one of the many stores or enjoy Dalmatian cuisine in one of the cafes or restaurants with sun terraces. Away from the lively sections, there are also quiet spots to linger on the promenade of Vodice.

ACI Marina Vodice

The marina in Vodice is open all year round and is an excellent starting point for families to explore the Dalmatian Adriatic with its many small islands. The Kornati National Park can be reached very quickly from here. In the marina, you will find all the essential amenities, from sanitary facilities and a supermarket to boat rentals and a restaurant. In the latter, you can try regional grilled dishes, while sitting idyllically at the harbor with a view of the sea.

Church of the Holy Cross

Once the squat structure crowned with a bell served as the parish church of the Church of the Holy Cross, before it handed over this role to a new building located in the city center during the Baroque period. Visitors admire the typical example of a church in rural Gothic architectural style. The interior, simply kept in white, reflects the exterior. Unique to the region is the Romanesque-Gothic holy water font resting on a column. In summer, there are changing exhibitions of modern art on the walls of the church.

Blue Beach

The Plava Beach stretches from the Punta Peninsula in the west to almost the eastern Tribunj. It includes various sections with fine pebbles as well as rocky areas and concrete sunbathing areas. Families particularly appreciate the fine pebble beach that gently slopes into the sea. Rent a sunbed with an umbrella to relax at Plava Beach or try diving, parasailing, sailing, or jet skiing. Little bathers romp on the trampoline or the playground. Cafés and restaurants cater to the physical well-being of beach visitors.

Aquarium and Museum for Maritime Tradition

The aquarium and maritime museum is one of the most popular attractions in the city of Vodice and takes you into the colorful underwater world of Croatia. Discover fascinating fish and crabs with the whole family and learn more about the importance of the sea. History enthusiasts can also admire scale models of historical ships and learn about the historical development of seafaring. In addition, there are nautical instruments and exhibits on the maritime culture and tradition of the region to discover.

Fortress of Saint Nicholas

The Fort of St. Nicholas is considered the most impressive sea fortress in Croatia and successfully protected the important Adriatic coastal town of Šibenik from Turkish invasions. As one of the strongest fortresses on the entire Adriatic coast, it was built in the 16th century and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2017. The fortress was constructed according to the plans of the Venetian architect Giangirolamo Sanmicheli. White stone was placed on a red brick base, combining resilience and visibility. Walk along the Sveti Ante promenade to reach the fortress.
