The coastal path Rambla de Castro on the Spanish island of Tenerife leads through a beautiful protected natural landscape in Los Realejos over about 4 kilometers. It starts at the Hotel Maritim and ends at the fantastic viewpoint San Pedro, which offers a beautiful view of the cliffs and the sea.
The Montes de Anaga invite you to hikes and excursions in nature all year round. Tenerife is famous for its perpetual spring and perfect conditions for outdoor sports activities, and the mountains are well signposted. A popular route leads from Afur to Playa de Tamadite.
The snow-covered peak of Spain's highest mountain is the landmark of the Canary Islands and, thanks to the year-round spring, a popular excursion destination at any time. One of the routes in the Sendero Roques de García is 3.3 km and very challenging, so experienced hikers will be on the move for between two and three hours.
During your excursion, you have the choice between different paths that are relatively short and belong to the sensory trail. The longest measures 1,300 meters, covers 100 meters in elevation, and goes through the wet forest. The highlight is the Llano de los Loros viewpoint, from where you can enjoy a picturesque view.
The historic village of Erjos, which was once a transportation hub, is the starting point of the hike. It passes through the breathtaking laurel forest Monte del Agua y Pasos. Perhaps the rare pigeon species laurel pigeon and Bolle's pigeon will accompany your path. You walk through picturesque places built in the typical Canarian style.
