House/Residence

Child friendly, cosy, rustic holiday complex "Tal Fanal 3 Bedroom", surrounded by fields. Washing machine (shared use, extra). Access & Parking: private parking, public car park on the road. Car recommended. Situation: secluded, quiet, sunny position in the countryside. Surroundings of the house: swimming pool (shared use, length 19 m x width 13 m), outside shower (shared use). Facilities and distances: supermarket 900 m. All Pictures shows, are real ones , but typical examples into the resort. Those can vary slightly to the actual booked apartments of the resort. All properties will be allocated according to type at time of booking into the resort. Villagg tal-Fanal is five minutes away by car from the capital city Victoria. There is a small well-stocked mini-market within walking distance from the village. There are twenty six houses in all (with one, two, three or four bedrooms), each having a well-equipped kitchen (ideal for self-catering holidays) and a comfortable living room. All the one bedroom houses have a bathroom ensuite and a terrace or a balcony, while the two bed-roomed houses have two bathrooms each, one of which is ensuite. All the two bed-roomed houses have a large terrace on ground or first floor level. The three bed-roomed houses are all on the ground floor level with a large terrace, they have two or three bathrooms. A large swimming Pool (19 meters by 13 meters, open all your round, however not heated) and sunbeds are at the disposal of the residents. The village is adorned with plants and there is an atmosphere of complete relaxation and tranquility. All residents may park their cars in a large underground car park situated beneath part of the village itself.

Location Description

General info

Small village, in the northern part of the island 1.5 km from the sea, at the end of a valley, in a secluded position, 3 km north-west from Victoria. All shops, restaurants etc. in Victoria, 3 km. In the resort: grocery, restaurant. Ghasri is Gozo's smallest parish and village and one of the most traditional. Like neighbouring Zebbug, with which it formed part till 1921, Ghasri probably owes its name to the olive industry. The village of Ghasri leads to Ghasri Valley, which ends in a beautiful tight gorge, dropping into the sea. Ghasri is home to the first lighthouse ever to be built in Gozo, known as Ta' Gordan, rising 180 metres above sea level. Its beam can be seen up to 50 kilometres away. Upon the hill around the lighthouse there are impressive 360 degree views of Gozo and this lures quite a lot of hikers, who challenge the rather steep path up to the hilltop. From the Village Square, a road leads to the beautiful valley of Wied il-Ghasri. On the way, there are a number of typical farmhouses and an old charming chapel dedicated to the Patronage of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Wied il-Ghasri area is a good country walk or cycling site especially in Winter and Spring.
