Worth visiting: the imposing castle tower which houses the museum "delle Macchine de Leonardo" and the rich da Vinci library. There are numerous cultural and folkloric shows throughout the year. Historical resort with 13'800 inhabitants, in the northern part of the region, situated at the foot of Monte Albano, in an idyllic position, 45 km west from Firenze, 50 km south-east from Lucca, 65 km east from Pisa. Een logeeradres waar alles tiptop in orde is en met een zeer fijn zwembad met vele ligstoelen. En een enorm mooi uitzicht over de vallei! Steden als Lucca, Pisa en Firenze op een uurtje rijden.

Absolutely amazing. The view from the house is spectacular. The private little patio in the garden is so cozy and relaxing to have. We always enjoyed breakfast and dinners here. Pool is ***** with the best view. Nothing but good things to say about this place. Service on point to!

Hätte nicht besser sein können. Pro: Wir waren soooo positiv überrascht, da die Unterkunft in Wirklichkeit noch viel schöner ist als die Bilder aussagen. Das Anwesen ist komplett weg von der Straße, uneinsehbar und ruhig. Die Ausblicke sind von allen Wohnungen gigantisch! Der Pool ist traumhaft, der Whirlpool ist etwas wärmer und ganz herrlich. Da auf der Höhe immer ein Wind geht, kann man es auch bei den höheren Temperaturen gut aushalten. Und die schön angelegten Terassen mit Pavillon spenden ohnehin Schatten. Das Wlan ist spitze, die Vermieter überdurchschnittlich freundlich. Da einige Küchenutensilien gefehlt haben, haben wir das gesagt und es wurde behoben. Die Größe unserer Wohnung war nicht üppig, aber ausreichend da das Wetter immer gut war. Wir hatten eine ganz tolle Woche in dem Anwesen und werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.
