This is the place to combine culture and fun. Visit, for example, the Störmthaler lake: 7 km2 big and up to 55m deep and only 25 km from Leipzig. “Vineta” is a floating church on the lake and is based on the church of the small town Magdeborn which was flooded by the Störmthaler lake years ago. There are developed bike paths along the lake and hiking trails up to the Markkleeberg lake.
