Climate
From the Miami Metropolitan Area several Causeways lead to Miami Beach's over 10 miles long stretch of sand, from the residential areas of Aventura and Sunny Isles Beach in the north past exclusive Bal Harbour and trendy Surfside down to the original "Miami Beach" in South Beach. Because of the classic 1930's architecture, this area is undergoing a Renaissance with some 800 Art Deco buildings now designated as a National Historic District. Lovely cafes, music bars and a large variety of shops line famous Ocean Drive. Cruise ships dock at the port of Miami. All kinds of sports and recreational facilities can be found along the whole coast.
