>>Urla is a popular holiday resort of Izmir. Urla has beaches on the Gulf of Izmir but also directly on the Aegean Sea. It is in a wonderful position with its small gulf and 12 islands in front of it. "Uzunada" is the largest of the islands. Resort with 35'000 inhabitants, 35 km from Izmir. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. "Urla Iskelesi" (4 km from the centre), "Zeytinalani" and "Cesmealti" (6 km from the centre) are the districts of town directly on the sea. In the summer months, the bays of "Mentes", "Gulbahce", "Baliklova" are preferred for bathing. These places have many small simple fish restaurants which offer a wide choice of daily fresh fish. For arrivals by plane: airport Izmir (ADB) 35 km.
