Climate

Galicia occupies the entire northwest corner of the Iberian Peninsula. The -wooded valleys are surrounded by mountain chains. The deep bays cutting into the territory give the region an unusual appearance. The bays offer magnificent beaches providing refuge for boats in distress on this coast, where storms some-times pass through.
