Cosy, historical fishing village, in the eastern part of the region directly by the sea, convenient, 50 km north-east from Alicante, 125 km south-east from Valencia. In the resort: supermarket, shops, bakers, boutiques, post office, bank, restaurant, bar, concerts, evening entertainment, museum, attractions. Fitness centre, sauna. Besides: chemist, doctor. Access: motorway AP-7, exit number "Altea". Access via a good road. Railway station in the resort. Harbour Club Nautico. Calpe 10 km. Benidorm 10 km. For arrivals by plane: airport Valencia-Manises (VLC) 135 km, Alicante-El Altet (ALC) 65 km. Lovely seaside resort with nice typical bars and restaurants in the old town. Many international artists live here in Altea, giving the resort a bohemianl atmosphere. Market: Tuesday. Car is recommended.
