689 m. >>Quiet resort, in the south-western part of the region, convenient, 15 km south-west from Madrid, 10 km south from Majadahonda, 49 km south-east from S Lorenzo de El Escorial. Shopping centre, shops, restaurant. Access: railway station "Madrid". For arrivals by plane: airport Madrid-Barajas (MAD) 36 km. Next to the town centre, is the old town of Romanillos. It is situated in grounds crossed by rivers, such as the Guadarrama river and there are also large stretches of oak and pine trees. Fiestas: San Babiles (12 June), Nuestra Senora del Rosario (7 October) and Sa Sebastian (20 January). Monuments of interest: Palacio del Infante Don Luis, Iglesia de San Cristobal, Fuente de Ventura Rodriguez.
