Situated in the Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentajeano e Costa Vicentina, between Sines (54 km) and the Algarve, Odemira offers many historical monuments, for example CAstillo Wadi Emir, built by the Arabs. Only 30 mins from the "Sta Clara" where the Rio Mira begins and where it is possible to take part in all kinds of water sports. Odemira is also known for its numerous ceramic shops. Odemira is approx 142 km north-west of Faro and approx 203 km south of Lisbon.
