Climate
City situated at the coast of the Bay of Gdañsk. Together with Gdansk and Sopot, Gdynia makes up an urban and harbour agglomeration called Tri-City. It is one of the three largest Polish harbours and, at the same time, a tourist, holiday, sailing and sports centre. Along the coast in the south-eastern part of Gdynia, a sand beach stretches. On the west side, the city borders moraine hills of the Kashubian Lake District, covered with forests. At the seaside, in the south-eastern part of the city, there is a landscape reserve called Kepa Redlowska (127 ha). Abundance of cinemas, theatres, stores and museums, e.g. the Historic Museum of the City of Gdynia, Museum of Navy, Oceanographic Museum and Sea Aquarium. It is also worth to visit the sailing ship - Museum "Dar Pomorza". Cruises to Hel, on the Bay of Gdañsk and to Westerplatte. In the direct neighbourhood of Gdynia, there are Sopot and the old city of Gdansk with numerous historical monuments. In a distance of 80 km, there is Malbork with a castle from the times of the Teutonic Knights and, in a distance of 110 km, there is Frombork - Nicolaus Copernicus' town. Large, well-known, busy city, 75 km south-west from Hel. In the resort: shopping centre, supermarket, shops, grocers, boutiques, post office, bank, restaurant, bar, disco, night club, concerts, evening entertainment, museum, attractions. Indoor pool. Besides: chemist, doctor. Access: railway station in the resort. Bus service. For arrivals by plane: airport Gdańsk (GDN) 20 km.
