Climate
Large, historical city directly by the sea, convenient. In the resort: shopping centre, shops, bank, restaurant, bar, disco, night club, casino, concerts, evening entertainment, museum, cinema, attractions. Indoor pool, wellness centre, fitness centre. Access: railway station in the resort. Bus service. For arrivals by plane: airport Gdańsk (GDN). Gdansk is a seaport city with one-thousand year old history. It makes up, together with Sopot and Gdynia, the Tricity metropolitan area. The city is the economical and cultural capital of Pomerania region and abounds in historic monuments of which it's worth to see: St. Mary Church (the largest brick gothic temple in Europe), the Oliwa Cathedral with its famous organ, Town Hall and Arthur's Court. Gdansk is the birthplace of G. Grass, G. Fahrenheit, J. Hevelius and many others. Each year the city organizes numerous cultural events (such as St.Dominic's Fair at the beginning of August) and the wonderful atmosphere there draws masses of tourists to the city. Just there, in one of the largest shipyard in Europe, the "Solidarity" trade union movement was born.
