Climate
Krakow was the capital of Poland up until the 16th century. The city has managed to preserve its historical monuments of Poland. Cultural centre and popular meeting place for artists, painters, historians, film makers and photographers. Places to visit include the numerous museums, one of them houses a famous Leonardo da Vinci painting. You will find there one of the oldest Jewish necropolis, Remuh cemetry founded in the 16th century. Other interesting places are the the Royal Castle on the Wawel hill, salt mining in Wieliczka (15 km), Wadowice birthplace of pope John Paul the 2nd, 50 km and the Concentration Camp in Oswiecim 60 km.
