The thermal lake at Heviz is one of Europe's largest natural healing lakes with volcanic origins. The lake is surrounded by forests providing an exceptional microclimate. Its special healing factor is the metre thick, peatycurative mud on the floor of the lake. One can bathe all year round in the lake. Well-known, picturesque spa resort directly by the Heviz Thermal Lake, 8 km north-west from Keszthely, 85 km west from Balatonfured, 90 km north-west from Siofok. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Indoor pool, thermal pool, wellness centre, fitness centre, sauna, health cures, massage, thalassotherapy. Besides: chemist, doctor. More possibilities for shopping and entertainments 8 km. Access: road 84 Sopron-Sarvar-71 Keszthely. Access by train Budapest-Siofok-Keszthely. Railway station "Keszthely" 8 km. Bus service.
