Balatonmadi is a beautiful, picturesque bathing resort on the northern banks of Lake Balaton, ideal for a relaxing family holiday with children or an active holiday with friends. Quiet, family friendly summer holiday resort directly by the Balaton Lake, 15 km east from Balatonfured, 15 km south from Veszprem, 110 km south-west from Budapest. Access by train Budapest - Balatonalmadi - Tapolca. Railway station in the resort. Bus service. Harbour Balatonalmadi. Balatonfured 15 km. Alsoors 7 km. Siofok 35 km. For arrivals by plane: airport Budapest (BUD) 135 km, FlyBalaton Sarmellek (SOB) 100 km. NB: A railway line goes along the lake (notoften used) - several of our properties are close to this railway line.
