Kithira, the island of the Kitheria Aphrodite, is one of the larger but less well-known Greek islands. Situated at the crossroads of sea routes to and from the eastern Mediterranean, Kithira is touristically undeveloped and has therefore retained all its charm and special appearance. Kapsali: a village by the sea in the south of the island, perhaps its tourist region. The whole complex, the Venetian castle Chora situated up high and the charming countryside make it a magnet for many visitors.
