480 - 2'713 m. >>In the southeast par of Bavaria, surrounded by the alps, there is the famou holiday resort, situated at the foot of a mountain, 10 km from Ramsau, 22 km from Salzburg, 55 km from Traunstein. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Thermal pool, sauna, health cures. Access: railway station in the resort. Bad Reichenhall 18 km. Ruhpolding 45 km. Reit im Winkl 63 km. For arrivals by plane: airport Salzburg (SZG) 20 km, München (MUC) 195 km. The national park of Berchesgaden with trekking up to the Jenner (1874 m) and the Watzman (2173). Since 1517 the salt mine give the visitors a glance of old times.Good fun is to take a trip an the boats over the Konig lake (3 km) to the well know church of St Bartholomeo. Excursions to the Chiemsee, to Rosenheim (99 km) and the capital Munich as well as Austria.
