>>Over 1000 years old city with 23'000 inhabitants, 55 km east from Kassel, 40 km north-west from Eisenach. In the resort: supermarket, shops, grocers, butchers, bakers, restaurant. Indoor pool. Access: railway station in the resort. The area around Eschwege is characterized by the river Werra and can be easily discovered by bike but also by boat via perfect routes. Within the historic Old Town of Eschwege, the town museum, the tin figure museum and the relaxing "Sophiengarten" park are worth a visit. For arrivals by plane: airport Erfurt (ERF) 102 km, Frankfurt (FRA) 200 km.
