The Black Forest is part of the southwest corner of Germany and stretches for 160 km from Pforzheim in the north to Waldshut in the far south. The highest peaks of the Black Forest reach 1166 m (Hornisgrinde) in the north and 1493 m (Feldberg) in the south. The Black Forest is an excellent holiday region, for active, sport-loving holidaymakers as well as those looking for peace and quiet. There is a full range of sport and leisure activities: walking, hiking, winter sports, water sports and even geology and history trips.
