250 m. >>Krivoklat castle is one of the oldest and most important castles of the Czech counts and kings. The history of its formation began in the 12th century. A beautiful castle chapel, the majestic hall and the knights' hall with an exhibition of Gothic art and sculpture, the castle library with 52 000 books, an extensive museum and gallery of paintings belonging to the Fuerstenberg family, famous castle prison and torture chamber with torture machinery, a monumental tower with hunting collections and view into the countryside, pleasant walks along the castle walls, Huderka tower with a black kitchen and corridor view, seat of the captain with occasional exhibitions - this and much more, makes up Krivoklat, a national cultural monument. Small, cosy, historical village, in an idyllic position, 35 km west from Praha. In the resort: shops, bakers, post office, restaurant. For arrivals by plane: airport Prague (PRG) 35 km.
