Climate
Is situated on the coast of the so-called Novigrad Sea, a closed and shallow bay northeast of Zadar with the estuary of the river Zrmanja. The coast abouns in mussels and oysters. Major attractions in the area include the beautiful, picturesque valley of the Zrmanja river with its impressive canyon (rafting), rich gastronomic offer (lamb, prosciutto, wine), fishing opportunities in the surroundings, as well as a number of cultural and historical monuments. Attractive are also the excursions to Paklenica National Park and Zadar. Small, quiet fishing village with 2'400 inhabitants, in the northern part of the region directly by the sea, 27 km east from Zadar, 10 km south-east from Posedarje. In the resort: grocers, bakers, post office, bank, restaurant, bar, folklore evenings, evening entertainment. Besides: chemist 6 km, doctor. More possibilities for shopping and entertainments 10 - 27 km. Access: motorway A1 Zagreb - Zadar, exit number 15 "Maslenica". Then road Maslenica - Posedarje - Novigrad. Access by train Zagreb - Zadar. Railway station "Zadar" 27 km. Bus service. Harbour Zadar 27 km. For arrivals by plane: airport Zadar (ZAD) 20 km, Zagreb (ZAG) 280 km.
