Climate
The island of Murter makes part of the Kornati Archipelago and is connected by bridge with mainland. Murter is the largest settlement on the island of the same name, which offers nice beaches along the coastline and it is agood starting point for interesting trips to the national parks Kornati, Krka, Paklenica and the natural park Telascica. Well-known, cosy, old, family friendly bathing resort with 2'000 inhabitants, in the north-western part of the island directly by the sea, 29 km north-west from Šibenik, 19 km north-west from Vodice, 75 km south-east from Zadar. In the resort: supermarket, shops, butchers, bakers, post office, bank, restaurant, bar, folklore evenings, concerts, evening entertainment, attractions. Besides: chemist, doctor. More possibilities for shopping and entertainments 19-29 km. Access: motorway A1 Zagreb-Split, exit number 20. Then road 59 Cista Mala-Tisno-Murter. Access by train Zagreb-Sibenik. Railway station "Sibenik" 29 km. Harbour Zadar 75 km, harbour Split 100 km. For arrivals by plane: airport Zadar (ZAD) 75 km, Split (SPU) 100 km.
