Climate

Kemmel is part of Heuvelland and has 1000 residents. During the 1st World War the village was hit hard. The Kemmelberg is a hill situated 1.5 km South West of the district, it is the highest point in the province (156 m). Do not miss: the "Zoetemarkt" - Pentecost Monday: a market where all the bakers and confectioners get together. Exhibition showing the region's history.
