The capital city of Belgium has approximately 1 million inhabitants. Brussels is the administrative, economic and industrial capital of the country and home to the Government and Royal Family. Some of the things to see: The Hotel de Ville in the main square, a unique example of 15th century architecture, the famous bronze statue of the "Manneken-Pis", various museums and monuments, the Royal Palace, the 1958 universal exhibition centre, the exhibition centre and the Atomium. Brussels has restaurants of all types, many offering top quality cuisine.
